NEWARK, NJ -- It’s the “eleventh hour” for three dogs at an animal shelter in Newark, and staff are putting out a “Hail Mary” plea for a hero.

Earlier this week, the Associated Humane Societies (AHS) said that staff members are seeking homes for four dogs: Reed, Taz, Tyson and Jovi. The deadline for a “soft place to land?” Wednesday.

On Tuesday evening, the AHS-Newark gave an update, noting that three of the four are still in need of a home (two of them “rescues only.”)
