Newark, NJ - October 7– This Friday, October 10th, Newark Symphony Hall opens its doors for “SugarHill to SugarHill”, a cultural celebration honoring the brilliance, style, and legacy of artistry, marking the official kickoff to Newark Symphony Hall’s 100th Anniversary in partnership with Harlem Fine Arts Show, The B.A.G. Tour & Newark Arts. Sponsored by AARP.

This one-night-only event is not just a historical tapestry, it is a movement. A living bridge connecting Harlem’s historic Renaissance to Newark’s contemporary creative pulse and its resilience. Guests will experience an immersive evening of live music, captivating student and professional performances, and a curated gallery exhibition and moderated panel talk with historians and artists. This discussion will spotlight ethnography and the innovators and visionaries shaping culture across generations. Creators will step into immersive environments where every corner tells a story worth capturing, as this event synergizes with the Newark Arts Festival’s lineup.
