Newark Vehicle Fire Closes Rt. 21 Lanes Monday Morning: DOT

NEWARK, NJ - A motor vehicle fire on Route 21 in Newark has prompted commuting delays in the area Monday morning, authorities said.

As of 7:08 a.m., there's a vehicle fire on NJ 21 southbound Chester Avenue in Newark, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

2 right lanes are currently closed, the agency said. There is a 5-to-10 minute delay.
