Woman Killed in North Ward House Fire
Bellair Place blaze claimed woman's life and sent firefighter to the hospital, according to reports.
A 59-year-old woman died Friday in a house fire in the city's North Ward, according to reports.
One person escaped the fire but a woman was trapped inside and firefighters were unable to rescue her, according to NJ.com. One firefighter was taken to St. Barnabas Medical Center where he was being treated for second-degree burns he suffered while trying to locate the woman, the article said.
The woman's identity was not immediately released.
