2 Men Responsible For Highland Park Porch Pirating, Police Say
Highland Park Police had been watching the men, having launched an extended investigation into who was doing the porch pirating.
HIGHLAND PARK, NJ — Two men were caught this week stealing packages from the front of homes in Highland Park, Highland Park Police announced at midday Friday.
The men, both from New Brunswick, were arrested Wednesday. Highland Park Police had been monitoring the men, having launched an extended investigation into who was doing the porch pirating.
Police say in the past month, the two stole packages from multiple homes on North Third Avenue and Highland Avenue. Detectives are continuing their investigation into these incidents and other package thefts reported in November. If you had a package stolen, please report the theft at 732-572-3800.

Highland Park Police had been watching the men, having launched an extended investigation into who was doing the porch pirating. The men were observed Wednesday of this week, Nov. 20, in the act, by Highland Park Police detectives. Police quickly apprehended them.
The first man, 40, of New Brunswick, was arrested on North Third Ave and charged with theft and resisting arrest by flight. The second, 36, of New Brunswick, was arrested on Highland Avenue and charged with theft, receiving stolen property and hindering apprehension. Police did not released their names.
