Elijah's Promise Turkey Trot to Raise Funds for Soup Kitchen

Elijah's Promise will hold its annual Turkey Trot on Nov. 4 at Buccleuch Park.

The Turkey Trot consists of a 3K walk around the park, with numerous tasting stations along the way.

Registration begins at 1 p.m., with a 2 p.m. start to the walk.

Funds raised from the trot will go toward providing meals at the Elijah's Promise soup kitchen.

According to the Elijah's Promise website, a meal can be provided at the soup kitchen for $2.50, and the kitchen serves over 100,000 meals annually to people in need.

Entertainment for children will also be provided, including arts and crafts, music and a visit from the Rutgers University Scarlet Knight.
