Local Girl Turns 12 on 12/12/12

My daughter Esmeralda was born on Dec. 12, 2000, at 12:03 p.m. She was the first baby born at this time at St. Peters Hospital.

I was very excited since she was born on the day that our church celebrates the festivity of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Esmeralda weighted 7 lbs. 8oz. at birth. She has five siblings, 1 brother and four sisters. Esmeralda attends Hammarskjold Middle School in East Brunswick. She likes sports. Her favorite sport is soccer. She played in the Spirit soccer team for East Brunswick for three years.

She is part of the children's choir of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in New Brunswick, directed by her father, Jack Alvarado.

We are all proud of Esmeralda since she is our youngest child and very special to the entire family.
