Editor's Note: The following information is a press release from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Make a difference in the life of a child in need and make your loved one’s wishes come true this holiday season. To mark its fifth anniversary, the Portable North Pole (PNP) team, which dispatches messages from Santa to children all around the world, is donating five percent of its sales to select children’s hospitals, and The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital (BMSCH) at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) is pleased to be included on its “Nice” list!
PNP is an application that allows a sender to write to Santa Claus and then send directly, to any recipient, a video from Santa Claus himself. The Portable North Pole console has streamed over 60 million fully personalized videos since it was launched in 2008.

Personalized messages may include the recipient’s picture, age, country of origin and a list of what must be improved for him or her to be a deserving child (or friend, husband, etc….) to receive gifts at Christmas. This video is free to stream during the holidays. For an additional fee, senders can create an extended five-minute premium version that includes added clips.
The PNP e-store is stocked with unique personalized products from Santa, including interactive letters, coloring books, puzzles, placemats, stickers, doorhangers and “Nice List” certificates. And this year, for the first time, Portable North Pole is able to provide an extra special treat for children: a personalized phone call from Santa!

A PNP discount is available to RWJUH staff and family and friends at www.bmsch.org/images/PNP-Coupon-2012.jpg. The PNP-Portable North Pole wants to share its magic with kids all over the world, bringing smiles to their faces while giving back to participating children’s hospitals.
“The RWJ University Hospital Foundation thanks PNP for its commitment this holiday season to donate a portion of its sales to The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at RWJUH, a regional resource for pediatric care,” says Rose Yalden, Director of Corporate, Foundation & Individual Giving at the RWJ University Hospital Foundation. “Its generosity during this season of giving is greatly appreciated.”
