
Kenneth N. Sable, MD, FACEP, has been named chief clinical officer for Saint Peter’s Healthcare System.
Sable will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of clinical operations, ensuring those programs optimize best practices in patient care and promote the highest standards of clinical practice. In doing so, he will oversee the development of policies, protocols and practice guidelines as well as professional and technical services in the areas of clinical care.
“I hope to use my information technology, financial, and operational background to help Saint Peter’s thrive and prosper into the next generation of health care provision and delivery,” Sable said. “This is a wonderful opportunity to join an organization with more than 100 years of tradition and excellence.”
Dr. Sable obtained his MD at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick. He completed his emergency medicine residency at UMDNJ-Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center, Camden. He holds a BSE in computer science and engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently a candidate for an MBA in business administration from the University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Sable has worked as vice chairman for operations in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y., for the past 10 years.
