Authorities Arrest Two Additional Suspects in Robinson Street Shooting, Two More Remain at Large

Police have arrested an additional two suspects in the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old New Brunswick man and are searching for two more, the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office announced Tuesday.

According to a release from the Prosecutor's Office, police are searching for
Michael Bailey, 21, of New Brunswick and Zaid Joseph, 20, of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick on charges of felony murder for their roles in the fatal shooting of Joshua Zhou, 19, on Sept. 27.

Zhou was shot and killed in a Robinson Street basement on the evening of Sept. 27 in what authorities believed was a targeted robbery attempt. He was shot multiple times in the torso and pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital that same night.

On Oct. 1, police arrested Jeffrey Andre Cook, 19, and on Oct. 2, arrested Larry Pena, 19 in relation to the shooting. Both men were charged with felony murder, and both are of the Somerset section of Franklin, according to the release.

Both men are being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center in North Brunswick, with bail set for Cook at $1 million bail, and bail set for Pena at $2 million.

Dawonne Cooper, 22, of Fernwood Court in New Brunswick was arrested on Sept. 28 and charged with felony murder in relation to Zhou's death. He remains jailed at the correctional center on $1 million bail.
