Boating Accident Claims Life of City Man
New Brunswick man drowned after his boat capsized near Perth Amboy, according to press reports.

A 50-year-old New Brunswick man when a boat he was on capsized on Saturday, according to reports.
The dead man was identified as Mario Baredales, of Livingston Avenue. He was pronounced dead at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, according to MyCentralJersey.com.
NJ.com is reporting that the accident is being investigated by the NYPD Harbor Unit, though it appears "appears the boat may have capsized after the anchor got caught."

Both news sources said that there were four survivors of the accident. The four sustained minor accidents and were treated at Raritan Bay Medical Center.
According to NJ.com, the U.S. Coast Guard responded to a report of a boat sinking off the coast of Staten Island at about 5:40 p.m. Saturday. Another boat in the area pulled the five boaters from the water, the report said.

MyCentralJersey.com said that the "19-foot pleasure (was) boat launched from a marina in Sayreville" and that "None of the five were wearing life jackets at the time of the accident."
