Court Tavern to Re-open This Weekend

The Court Tavern will have a soft opening this weekend with a grand re-opening scheduled for Nov. 3.

Patrons will have a chance to see the interior of the Court Tavern this weekend, as the bar's new owners plan a soft opening.

According to a report on mycentraljersey.com, manager Rocky Cantanese says the bar will be open from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The bar was purchased in April by Mike Barrood, owner of Mike's Courtside Bar and Grill, after it unexpected shut down in January.

The new staff of the Court Tavern said the venue will but it has been cleaned up, and will now serve food at the bar.

According to the mycentraljersey.com report, the grand opening for the bar is scheduled for Nov. 3 and will feature a performances by the bands Samiam, the Scandals, Gates and Chris Batten.

The staff of the bar is currently seeking bands to perform at later dates. Anyone interested in performing at the Court Tavern is asked to drop off a demo CD and a resume at Mike's Courtside Bar and Grill, 1 Elm Row.
