Coyotes Sighted in Buccleuch Park

A number of coyote sightings in Buccleuch Park has prompted police to warn residents to keep an eye out for the animals.

Police spokesman Cpt. J.T. Miller said the department has received several calls over the last day from people in the park who caught a glimpse of the coyotes.

Animal control is aware of it, as well as state wildlife officials, who will focus on trapping and relocating the animals, Miller said.

Anyone who sees the coyotes is asked not to approach them, or attempt to feed them, and to call the police department at (732) 745-5200.
