New Brunswick City Market will host its annual tree lighting ceremony, featuring musical entertainment, a scavenger hunt, free carriage rides, a visit from Santa Claus and a chili cook off.
Admission to the event is free. Tasting kits for the chili cook off are $1, and include spoons and a ballot to vote for the best chili.
Carriage rides will run between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., and will pick up patrons at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick and the Heldrich hotels for free tours of the New Brunswick downtown.
