Experience the Unconventional at Omega Sound Fix III

This two-day music festival will be held May 3 and 4 at Alfa Art Gallery.

A grassroots music and performance arts festival returns to New Brunswick this weekend, bringing a mix of unique and underground acts to one of the city's most popular art spaces.

Omega Sound Fix III is an experimental music festival that will be held on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4 at Alfa Art Gallery, 108 Church St.

The festival will feature more than 15 music, visual arts and spoken word performances, according to a press release from festival organizers.

Featured performers include Death By Plastic, Human Adult Band, Little Fox, Shaun Weeden, Norton Antivirus and Seapost.

Curated by Mark Weinberg and Michael Durek, the festival is meant to exhibit acts that fall outside of the mainstream in a robust festival showcase.

Omega Sound Fix III is sponsored for the first time by a number of local businesses in New Brunswick and Highland Park, including Destination Dogs, Syndicated Clothing, Downtown Printing Center, Ruthie's Restaurant and Garden of Healing Yoga & Wellness Center.

The festival begins at 7 p.m. Friday, May 3 and at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 4.

Tickets are $7 per day or $10 for both days.
