PISCATAWAY, NJ — Public input needed: Help shape the future of East Jersey Old Town Village.
The survey will be open from December 30 to January 10, 2025.
Middlesex County is seeking funding through the New Jersey Green Acres Program to enhance East Jersey Old Town Village in Johnson Park in Piscataway. Plans include an orientation building, exhibit/interpretive hall, expanded parking, and improved accessibility to the site. These enhancements will transform East Jersey Old Town Village into an unforgettable destination for both residents and visitors.

Community input is vital to help shape the future of East Jersey Old Town Village, and the County invites the public to share their feedback through an online survey. Here is the survey: middlesexcountynj.gov/EJOTVinput
For those who don't know, East Jersey Old Town Village is a collection of original, replica and reconstructed 18th- and 19th-century buildings representing the architecture found in central New Jersey’s early farm and merchant communities during the American Revolutionary War and 1800s. The village serves as an educational model, teaching the history, traditions, folk arts, and craftsmanship of the people who lived and worked in the region.

The Village offers free public access year-round, Wednesday through Sunday, with living history interpreters onsite from April through October and a full schedule of special events throughout the year.
