HIGHLAND PARK, NJ — Highland Park's fourth marijuana dispensary is preparing to open soon.

It's called BLKBRN (pronounced "Blackburn") and will be located at 176 Woodbridge Ave., on the same street as the existing Anja pot shop, which is already open. BLKBRN says they are planning an early 2025 opening, but did not give a month.

Jeff Jacobson is one of the co-founders of BLKBRN, according to a press release from the store.

BLKBRN will join three other existing cannabis dispensaries in Highland Park. They are:

  • Anja dispensary at 225 Woodbridge Ave. - currently open
  • Herbalicity at 246 Raritan Ave. - currently open
  • Main Street Dispensary at 311 Raritan Ave. - Just opened in November. Its owners are Sal Raspa, a third-generation Highland Park resident whose family also owns Raspa Jewelers, and Gordon Millner, another Highland Park local, according to MyCentralJersey, which has photos from the November 24 ribbon cutting.

In 2023 the borough of Highland Park agreed to give out five licenses to retail recreational marijuana shops: Anja, Herbalicity, Main Street Dispensary, BLKBRN and Floro.
