Jazz Project, Lego Robotics Today in New Brunswick

Good morning New Brunswick!

As usual, Patch is here with the information you need to know around town. Here's a list of things happening today, Tuesday, July 30.

1. The New Brunswick Jazz Project will showcase emerging local artists at Tumulty's Pub. The show begins at 8 p.m., with a 9:30 p.m. jam session.

2. Bring the kids to the library for the New Brunswick 4-H's free Lego Robotics program.

Open to kids ages 7-12, participants work with Lego kits to create models that really move when hooked up to a computer program. Younger kids are welcome to play with jumbo-sized Duplo blocks. The event begins at 3 p.m. in the library's community room.

3. Watch the animated movie "Madagascar 3" on State Theatre's 46-foot screen. The movie begins at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $5.

4. If you missed our note on it yesterday, Middlesex County College's New Brunswick Center, 140 New St., will hold a free financial aid workshop at 6 p.m. tonight.

Students should bring copies of their 2012 federal tax return, as well as their parents' return, according to a press release from the college.
