Learn About Sustainable Dining with Seed to Table

Learn about making your own jams and jellies at home on Aug. 14.

Elijah's Promise has announced its "Seed to Table" series, six hands-on cooking classes that tackle different topics each week.

From 6-9 p.m. on Aug. 14, participants will learn how to make and can their own jams and jellies at home, guided by Kim Osterhoudt, founder of "Jams by Kim".

According to the Elijah's Promise website, participants will learn about the basics of water bath canning, and will take home a jar of freshly made jam.

Registration is $35, and can be completed here.

Future classes include "Kitchen Technique Bootcamp" on Aug. 28; "Preserving Summer's Bounty: Dehydrating and Freezing" on Sept. 11; and "Preserving the Harvest: Fermentation 101" on Sept. 25.
