
A Baldwin Street party took a turn on Sunday morning when a fight started up and ended with a shooting, police say.
According to a press release from the New Brunswick Police Department, Joel Gonzalez, 25, of New Brunswick was shot outside of a party at 150 Baldwin St. around 1 a.m. Sunday.
According to the release, police believe that Gonzales was at the party when an "altercation" with other party guests happened.

Gonzales left the party and the altercation continued on the street, where he was shot once in the chest, the release said.
Gonzales was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and his condition has been described as "serious but stable."
