Man Shot in Fulton Street Robbery

A 19-year-old New Brunswick man was robbed and shot once on Saturday morning, according to the New Brunswick Police Department.

According to a press release from the department, the unidentified victim was on Fulton Street near Florence Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday when he was approached by two men wearing ski masks, one of which had a handgun.

The two demanded money from the victim, who handed over his cell phone, and was shot once in the buttocks, according to police.

The suspects fled the scene on foot.

The injury was not life-threatening, and the victim was treated at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, according to the release.
