2. Fall jobs for young people: the County Youth Conservation Corps. are currently accepting applications for high school and college students.
3. Get the kids out of the muggy weather by bringing them to the stuffed animal sleepover at the New Brunswick Free Public Library. Children ages 3-6 are invited to the library at 3 p.m. today with their favorite stuffed animal for stories, snacks and crafts, and when they leave, their animal stays behind with the children's librarians for a special animal sleepover, according to the library website.
When children pick them up the next morning, they'll see photos of what their stuffed animals did at the sleepover. Call (732) 745-5108, ext. 16. to sign up.
4. New Brunswick Restaurant Week is in full swing, with discounts and special menus being offered at 41 eateries around New Brunswick. Visit your favorites, or try something completely new!
