Need a Job? ALDI Seeks Manager Trainees

The supermarket is holding a job fair in Union for its New Jersey stores, including New Brunswick.

ALDI has announced that is is looking for about a dozen Manager Trainees to staff its New Jersey stores, and will host a hiring expo on July 11 in Union to solicit candidates.

The event is open to the public from 2-6 p.m. July 11 and will be held at ALDI's Union store, located at 1020 Commerce Ave. in Union.

The stores hiring include New Brunswick, Piscataway, South Plainfield, Woodbridge, Union, East Rutherford, Clifton, Rockaway, Hazlet, West Long Branch, Roselle, Linden and North Bergen, according to the company.

According to a press release from the company, the manager trainee positions entail a 40-hour work week and have a starting salary of $52,000.

They are intended to lead to a store manager position, which comes with an annual starting salary of $70,000, according to the release.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have their high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be available to work at any time between the hours of 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.
  • Must submit to a drug screening and background check.
  • Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
Management experience is preferred for Manager Trainees, according to the release.
