New Brunswick Artichoke Basille's Pizza Opens Aug. 30

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — If you love pizza, there's a new place to try in New Brunswick: Artichoke Basille’s Pizza will open its third New Jersey location near the heart of Rutgers University campus in New Brunswick on Wednesday, August 30.

The new pizza place is located at 104 Easton Avenue and Artichoke Basille’s Pizza will celebrate their grand opening by donating 10 percent of all sales from their first day to the Rutgers University Foundation, to help students who need financial aid.

The 1,000 sq-foot restaurant will feature countertop seating and bar stools. Artichoke Pizza started in NYC's East Village.

Artichoke is known for its larger-than-life slices and whole pies cooked fresh throughout the day in a tiled pizza oven. Fan-favorite menu items include the namesake Artichoke Pie with cream sauce, artichoke hearts, spinach, mozzarella and pecorino romano; the Crab Pie with crab sauce, panko-breaded Surimi crab meat and fresh mozzarella; as well as traditional flavors like margherita, pepperoni, vodka and more.

“We opened our first New Jersey location in Hoboken back in 2019, and it’s been a blessing to now open a third location in such a great spot for students and the New Brunswick community,” said Premal Shanghvi, co-franchisee of Artichoke New Brunswick. “This location in New Brunswick is just a block from College Avenue on the main campus, and as a proud graduate of Rutgers University myself, I’m so excited to be back here."
