New Caterer Takes Over Elks Club Restaurant
Harvest Specialty Catering serves lunch to the public from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

A new lunch spot has opened on Livingston Avenue, offering good food at a reasonable price.
Harvest Specialty Catering is a 20-year-old Middlesex County business with ties to East Brunswick, North Brunswick, Marlboro and Old Bridge.
Recently, they've taken over the kitchen at the Elks Club, where they're hoping to start a new phase of their story through the restaurant and banquet space there.
General manager Jason Dychus said the company opened up shop in the Elks Club about eight weeks ago, and has been open to the public for lunch during the week, and is available for catering contracts.
Harvest Specialty Catering offers lunch dishes mostly under $10, serving items like bar pies ($6), hamburgers ($6) and salads ($5-$7), but their most popular offering is their BBQ, Dychus said, including a slow-cooked pulled pork sandwich piled high and served with fries for $7.
Harvest Specialty Catering has even taken their pork on the road, participating in BBQ festivals around the area, he said.
"We sell a ton of pulled pork here," Dychus said.
The company also offers several catering menus for occasions of all kinds. The Elks Club kitchen will now serve as their base of operation, as they closed up their North Brunswick location and moved everything there, Dychus said.
Dychus said his team is excited about the new facility.
"We've never had on-premise capabilities (previously)," he said.
Harvest Specialty Catering is located at the New Brunswick Elks Club, 40 Livingston Ave.
They serve lunch from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Parking is available in the lot behind the Elks Club.
The restaurant accepts cash only unless prior reservations have been made.
