"Operation Shower" Lavishes Gifts on Military Moms-to-be

The mass shower was held on May 2 at the Imperia on Easton Avenue in Somerset to benefit expectant women whose husbands are deployed.

Military moms-to-be were showered with gifts and support at the fourth annual Operation Shower event on May 2.

According to a press release from Babies "R" Us, close to 50 expectant women from Fort Dix with deployed husbands were hosted at The Imperia on Easton Avenue by Operation Shower and Babies "R" Us.

The major retailer grants Operation Shower $100,000 to support the showers, according to the release. Four have been hosted so far.

In addition to car seats, cribs, baby clothes and other essentials, each mom was given a $100 Babies "R" us gift card to cover additional needs for their new babies.
