Partygoer Punched on Busch Campus

An unidentified man was hit in the face Friday night while attending a gathering at apartments near Busch Campus.

According to a Nixle message from Rutgers Police, the victim was near the Silvers Apartments on Busch Campus, in parking lot 65B around 1:15 a.m., when he was approached by a group of people he didn't know. One of the people in the group hit him in the face "without provocation," according to the message.

The victim is being treated at an unidentified local hospital for the injuries, which were serious, but not life-threatening, according to the message.

The message did not include a description of the suspects involved, and said that a description of the assailant is "limited at this time."
