Play S.A.F.E., the summer day camp program for New Brunswick kids, held its culminating celebration on Thursday at Buccleuch Park, with games, sports, a cookout and a cooling spray from a New Brunswick Fire Department truck.
Program coordinator Dave Blevins said this year's program served about 900 kids in 10 locations around New Brunswick.
The program is free to New Brunswick's youth and includes a daily lunch, served by the Board of Education's food service program, Blevins said.
