Police Advise of Route 18 Lane Closures in the Coming Week
Traffic and delays are expected nightly.
The New Brunswick Police Department has announced that delays are to be expected on the Route 18 bridge over Route 1 through the coming week.
According to a Nixle message from the police department, NJ DOT construction crews will be repairing lanes on both the north and southbound lanes of Route 18 between the hours of 8 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. beginning tonight, Friday, April 26 and then again Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3.
As many as two lanes may be closed on Route 18 around the ramps and bridges, and possibly two lane closures on Route 1 below the bridge, according to the message.
