Poll: How Would You Balance the State Budget?
Hearings are being held on the state's proposed spending plan. What would you do, if you were in charge?

The state Legislature is holding hearings on Gov. Chris Christie's proposed $32.1 billion state budget. Democrats are critical of the plan, which they say will harm local governments and schools and create budget problems down the road.
Christie says the budget protects vulnerable state residents, while offering tax relief and creating an atmosphere in which the state's economy can grow.
NJ.com has reported that the state's revenue projections are the most optimistic in the nation, which has led to criticism of whether the governor will be able to keep the budget in balance.
