Bristol-Myers Squibb in Plainsboro Informs 200 Workers Their Jobs Will Be Eliminated

Bristol-Myers Squibb in Plainsboro has notified about 200 workers that their jobs will be eliminated, nj.com reports.
The jobs will be eliminated over the next year while the company opens a “capability center” in Tampa, Florida, according to the report.
Some current employees will transfer to the new building in Tampa, but the company will also be looking for new employees who live in or around Tampa, according to the report.
The 200 workers includes 100 employees and 100 contractors, and they will remain in their positions through “the second quarter of 2014,” according to the report.

Bristol-Myers Squibb will not close any facilities currently located in New Jersey, according to the report.
