NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Next Monday, Oct. 7, is the one-year anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel. And Rutgers Chabad, a center of Jewish life on the Rutgers campus, will host a special October 7 memorial service this Monday to remember those killed and the Israelis still being held hostage by Hamas.

It comes after a difficult year in which Israel bombed Gaza, killing thousands, took the war into Lebanon, killing key Hezbollah and Hamas leaders, and now this week Iran is bombing Israel in retaliation, as the United States weighs whether it should get involved in a rapidly escalating regional war.

Their memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7 at Chabad House, 170 College Avenue on the Rutgers main campus in New Brunswick. It will be led by Rabbi Yosef Carlebach. Danny Danon, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, will speak at the service.
