'Rumble On The Raritan' HS Football Showcase: See Schedule

PISCATAWAY, NJ — This Labor Day weekend you can watch football from some of the best high schools in New Jersey being played right here in Piscataway, as Rumble on the Raritan launches the first-ever Football Week in New Jersey.

All of the games will be played at the SHI Stadium, the Rutgers football stadium, in Piscataway.

Teams will be represented from 24 high school football programs from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland for a three-day football showcase.

The weekend begins with Rutgers Scarlet Knights hosting Temple University at home on Thursday night, September 2.

Rumble on the Raritan is sponsored by Rutgers University, the New Jersey Football Coaches Association, Trademark Sports Events and even the New Jersey governor's office.

Rumble on the Raritan will feature 12 games from Friday through Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Rutgers University is the birthplace of college football, and for some of these high school athletes, it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience to play at a Big Ten stadium.

“I’d like to thank John Jacob and the NJFCA, along with Tom McGuire and Trademark Sports, in making high school football a part of Football Week in New Jersey," said Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano.

"'Rumble on the Raritan' is an annual event that exemplifies the most important aspects of our mission as it will highlight a broad range of schools that vary in size, location and notoriety," said New Jersey Football Coaches Association (NJFCA) Commissioner John Jacob
