Singles Mixer, Jackson 5 Today in New Brunswick

The week's more than halfway over, but there's still plenty of action around New Brunswick. Here's a few notes on what's happening in town today:

1. Singles Mixer at V Lounge, hosted by Kate's Dates: Grab a friend and meet some new people at this party, which begins at 6 p.m.

2. The Jackson brothers will visit New Brunswick for the first time tonight and perform some of the Jackson 5's greatest hits at State Theater. Tickets start at $35. More information can be found here.

3. Comedian Keenan Ivory Wayans will also be in New Brunswick today, beginning a three-day engagement at the Stress Factory. More information is available here.

4. If you're looking for a low key way to spend the evening, consider checking out the New Brunswick Free Public Library's knitting club, which convenes from 7-8:30 p.m. It's open to anyone who has an interest in knitting, even those without experience.
