Teen Hit By Gunshots Fired From Car Saturday Night In New Brunswick
After a brief police chase, the car crashed and two occupants were arrested. Two guns were recovered in the car, said the city.
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 19-year-old man was hit by gunfire shot from a car Saturday night in the city of New Brunswick and, after the car crashed, two occupants of the car were taken into police custody.
The shots were fired at 11:38 p.m. Saturday in the area of Seaman and Drift streets. While traveling on Seaman Street, a New Brunswick Police officer saw gunshots fired from a vehicle. The officer immediately tried to stop the car, however it fled, prompting responding officers to give chase. The car ultimately crashed into a utility pole on Louis Street.
Two young men in the car were taken into police custody, and two guns were also found in the car, said the city of New Brunswick in this Facebook post.

A 19-year-old New Brunswick young man was hit by the gunfire, suffering gunshot wounds to his abdomen and shoulder area. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening injuries.
The two suspects are identified as Bryce Miller, 18, of New Brunswick and Tybre Spruill, 19, also of New Brunswick. Both are charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Eluding Police, Receiving Stolen Property, Criminal Mischief and Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer. Both suspects remain in custody at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility.
