Throop Avenue Fire Still Under Investigation

No injuries occurred in the two-alarm fire at Sajoma Fried Chicken on Throop Avenue.

New Brunswick fire officials are still investigating the cause of a Sunday morning fire in the rear of a building housing Sajoma Fried Chicken, located at 123 Throop Ave.

New Brunswick Fire Director Robert Rawls said the fire was believed to have started in the ceiling of the restaurant's kitchen.

Fire fighters had to cut locks off doors to access the interior of the building to extinguish the blaze, but no occupants were in the restaurant at the time and no injuries reported, Rawls said.
