Five Things You Need To Know Today: April 13
All schools are closed for spring break, BOE members will discuss the budget with seniors citizens, the library is hosting a lecture series and screening a kids' movie, and a book sale begins today at American Legion.

1. All schools are closed today for Spring Recess.
2. During the 's regular weekly meeting, members of the Board of Education will explain the proposed 2011/2012 budget to seniors, beginning at 11 a.m.

4. The Summit College Club is hosting a running through April 17. Today is the pre-sale for dealers, collectors and book lovers from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $15, but free April 14 – 17. Held at , located at 357 Elkwood Ave., all proceeds will go to scholarships for senior girls at local high school in the greater Summit Area, including New Providence, Summit, Berkeley Heights, Chatham and Short Hills.
