Five Things You Need To Know Today: July 9
Today, there will be a few yard sales in the area, Maplewoodstock kicks off at Memorial Park, and the Summer Film Fest begins at Scotch Plains Library.

1. There will be a multi-family yard sale today at 260 Woodland Ave. in Summit from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items for sale to include household items, vintage costume jewelry, small furniture, small TV, enameled plates-Pottery Barn, pressed glass, ladies clothes, vintage stuff, twin comforter, coffeemaker, small appliances, lamps, music stand, vases, candlesticks, books, some toys and much more.
2. Maplewoodstock, a two day festival that features local music and art, kicks off today at Memorial Park in Maplewood. Click here for the full line up of bands and vendors.
3. Cottage to Kastle will host a full contents sale at 1419 Whipporwill Way in Mountainside today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items for sale include a dining table, decor, holiday items, artwork, chairs, wall units, bedroom items, quality furnishings, and more. 5. There will be a yard sale at 55 Springfield Ave. in Berkeley Heights today and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This sale will feature clothes, toys, kitchen appliances, fishing and hunting equipment, rugs, speakers and more.
