Five Things You Need To Know Today: March 2

1. The New Providence Senior Citizens Center Club will meet at 11 a.m. to celebrate March birthdays and learn about organ donation services at The Sharing Network.

2. Artwork by the Adult Drawing and Painting Class is on display daily at the New Providence Memorial Library and can be viewed today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

3. Our Lady of Peace Church is hosting a "Life is a Highway" Tricky Tray Dinner on March 25 at 6 p.m. at L'Affaire in Mountainside, NJ. Tickets are now on sale for $48 per person. Contact Jan Manger at 908-665-2696 for more information.

4. St. Andrew's Nursery School and Kindergarten recently appointed their new director, Deborah V.H. Cook, after searching for a new director for nearly a year. Cook's background includes an educator for Kindergarten through second grade in Glen Ridge and the Principal of Burnet Hill School in Livingston. With a Masters in Administration and Supervision, Cook has also studied at Bank Street College, where she earned her Post-Master's Degree in Reading/Literacy Specialization.

5. Tickets for Bye Bye Birdie, which will be performed by students from the New Providence High School on March 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. and March 13 at 3 p.m., are on sale now. Tickets are $12 for reserved seating, $10 for general admission and $8 for seniors and students. Tickets may be purchased from a student, at the high school main office or by email at NPHSmusical@yahoo.com. Group discounts are also available.
