Five Things You Need To Know Today: May 12

Today, the baseball, golf and boys' lacrosse teams will be in action, while Hoboken Farms in Summit is offering 1,000 "pay what you wish" sandwiches, which will the benefit Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

1. The varsity golf team will play Oratory Prep and A.L. Johnson today at 3:30 p.m.

2. The boys' lacrosse teams will play at Governor Livingston today. JV will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by varsity at 7 p.m.

3. The boys' baseball teams will be in action this afternoon. Freshmen will host St. Peters Prep at 4 p.m., JV will host Union City at 4:15 p.m. and varsity will play at St. Patrick's at 4 p.m.

4. The girls' lacrosse games against Oak Knoll that were scheduled for today have been postponed.

To celebrate the grand opening of its first retail sandwich shop in Summit, NJ, Hoboken Farms, located at 789 Springfield Avenue, is offering 1,000 sandwiches to customers using a "pay what you wish" price structure, with all money benefiting the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, an organization that helps feed more than 900,000 people each year via their 1,500 member agencies in 18 of New Jersey’s 21 counties. Stop by from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to pick up what is promised as one of the state's most awesome sandwiches for take-out or delivery.
