Five Things You Need To Know Today: May 28

The track team will compete in the State Sectionals, Watchung Stables is hosting a Troop Horse Show, while Livingston Oval is hosting Family Festival Day.

1. The boys' and girls' varsity track team will compete at Hillsborough High School today at 10 p.m. in the State Sectionals.

2. The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and The Department of Parks and Community Renewal present the Watchung Stables 78th Annual Spring Troop Horse Show today and tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. Watchung Stables is located at 1160 Summit Lane in Mountainside. 3. Today is at the Livingston Oval, located at 30 Robert H. Harp Drive in Livingston, NJ. There are events all throughout the day. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be obstacle courses, pony rides, a petting zio, chalf walk, arts and crafts and much more. There will also be a "Bike Rodeo" from 1 to 3 p.m. (registration begins at 12 noon), a multi-cultural performance from 3 to 6 p.m. and a movie under the stars from 8:30 to 10 p.m. This event is open to all. 4. The Borough of New Providence and the American Legion Post #433 are sponsoring the on Monday, May 30, beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will begin at the corner of Springfield and Central Avenues, and run down Springfield Avenue. Visit www.newprov.org for more information.
