OAKLAND, NJ —Police helped arrest a New York man who was accused of racking up $15,000 in fraudulent charges on a local resident's credit card, authorities said.

The charges were for gift cards that were being shipped to a Walgreens on Ramapo Valley Road. Police worked with Walgreens employees, who altered them when a man arrived to pick up the packages, Eldridge said.

Three Oakland Police officers went to the store and arrested Gordon, who had a fake driver's license in the victim's name, Eldridge said.
