Man Crushed To Death Between Car, Garage In Princeton Driveway: Police

Meliton Hernandez-Morales of West New York was struck by a car and pinned between the vehicle and a detached garage, police said.

PRINCETON, NJ — A 61-year-old man died after being crushed between a car and garage in Princeton on Wednesday, the police department said.

Around 9:56 a.m. on Wednesday morning, Princeton Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Red Hill Road where Meliton Hernandez-Morales, a 61-year-old man from West New York, NJ died.

Huimei Qiu, a 53-year-old Princeton woman, reversed a 2011 Lexus GX in a residential driveway, police said.

Hernandez-Morales was in the driveway and was struck by the Lexus, pinning him between the vehicle and a detached garage.

Hernandez-Morales succumbed to his injuries, while Qiu was uninjured, police said.

The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Serious Collision Response Team responded to the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, police said.
