Princeton Awarded Sustainable Jersey Certification

The Princeton Borough and Princeton Township will be honored on Nov. 15, 2011 at the Sustainable Jersey awards luncheon held during the New Jersey League of Municipalities’ conference in Atlantic City.

Princeton Township Mayor Chad Goerner said, “We are thrilled to be recognized as a sustainable community by Sustainable Jersey. Princeton has made a tremendous effort, over the past three years, to seek out alternative energy opportunities, protect the local environment and support our local business community.  We have only begun to innovate in this arena," according to a news release.

Princeton Borough Mayor Mildred Trotman agreed, saying, “This award recognizes the good work of individuals in the municipalities as well as in our schools, businesses and homes. We are so proud to receive this honor from Sustainable Jersey," according to the same release.
