On Nov. 11 at 11a.m., The Spirit of Princeton Committee will host a ceremony to honor the nation's veterans, as well as those young men and women still actively serving in the military. All are welcome.
The program will feature many participants, including the Princeton community youth, municipal leaders, and the area's active and retired military personnel. The Battery G, Third Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment from the Marine Reserve Training Detachment of West Trenton, N.J. will be presiding over the program and providing a color guard and rifle salute.
Other participants will include Princeton Borough Mayor Mildred Trotman and Princeton Township Committee Members Bernie Miller and Sue Nemeth, who also serves as Township Deputy Mayor.

The featured speaker will be Spirit of Princeton Co-founder Herb Hobler, a graduate of Princeton University class of 1944, founder of Nassau Broadcasting Company and WWII veteran. Hobler served as a navigator in B-29 flying missions over Japan. The B-29 was the first pressurized airplane, and flew twice as far and carried twice the bomb load of the better known B-17.
A wreath will be placed at the memorial by Spirit of Princeton co-founder and former Princeton Borough Councilman Ray Wadsworth. The Blawenberg Band and a bugler will provide the music for the ceremony.
