Anti-Semitic Sticker Posted, DWI Driver Crashes Into House: Princeton Blotter
The blotter also included someone breaking into a school, destroying fire alarms, and setting off two fire extinguishers.
PRINCETON, NJ — An anti-semitic sticker, a DWI crash into a home, and more were reported recently in Princeton.
Princeton Police blotter:
On Oct. 31 at 12:43 p.m.: Patrols were dispatched to a school on Walnut Lane for the report of an activated commercial fire alarm. Further investigation revealed that someone entered the school building, where they destroyed multiple fire alarm detectors and deployed two fire extinguishers. There are no suspects at this time.

On Oct. 31 at 9:25 a.m.: A complainant reported finding an anti-Semitic sticker affixed to the plexiglass door of a “lending library” located in front of her home on Houghton Road. The sticker depicted the Statue of Liberty holding a menorah with a bloody hand, appearing to be drowned in blood. Video surveillance footage provided showed the incident occurred on Oct. 29 at 11:07 a.m. The footage captured a white man, middle-aged, with gray hair, wearing a dark blue jacket, black pants, black sneakers, and a black hood, riding a light-colored mountain bike. The man was seen stopping at the library, removing a sticker from his wallet, peeling the backing, and placing it on the plexiglass door. The investigation is being investigated as a bias-related act.
On Nov. 1 at 1:52 p.m.: Patrols responded to Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center for a report of a past tense assault that occurred at a restaurant/bar located on Nassau Street. The victim reported being hit on the head with a glass bottle or mug during a verbal dispute with an unknown woman around 1 a.m. The altercation was broken up shortly after, and the victim sustained a large laceration to the right side of her head. The investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 2 at 12:40 a.m.: Patrols responded to a home on Clay Street, where they made contact with Albert Jackson-Carmichael, 31, of Trenton. A warrant check revealed that Jackson-Carmichael had an active no-bail warrant issued by the Trenton Municipal Court, as well as a $1,000 warrant from the Lawrence Township Municipal Court. He was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters for processing. Following processing, Jackson-Carmichael was turned over to the custody of the Trenton Police Department.
On Nov. 2 at 1:53 a.m.: Patrols responded to a home on Cedar Lane for a reported burglar alarm with multiple activations. Further investigation determined that the operator of a vehicle, identified as William Shaughnessy, 27, of Princeton, had been involved in a single-vehicle crash into a home while operating under the influence of alcohol and then tried to flee the scene. Shaughnessy was found nearby, placed under arrest, and eventually taken to police headquarters for processing. He was issued several motor vehicle summonses and then he was released to a sober adult.
