Recycling in Schools Panel Discussion at Princeton Public Library

A panel of educators will discuss recycling in schools on a panel called “Waste NOT in Schools”Panelists include Kevin Lyons of Rutgers University who will focus on the relationship between purchasing and waste at Rutgers; Norm Torkelson from Hopewell Valley Regional Schools, who will talk about his district’s successful waste and recycling programs; and Joy Barnes-Johnson of Princeton High School who will speak about lessons learned from the PHS waste audit. Educators can receive professional development credits for attending the event. A prize will be given to the school with the most participants at the event, and light refreshments will be provided.
