Gas Leak Forces Partial Evacuation at Princeton International School of Math

No injuries were reported.

A gas leak on Lambert Drive forced the partial evacuation of the Princeton International School of Math late Monday morning. No injuries were reported.

According to Princeton Police, the leak was caused by construction at the school which is located at 19 Lambert Drive.

About 50 faculty, students and staff were evacuated around 11 a.m. PSE&G shut the main off at the street.

An initial investigation determined that a piece of construction equipment struck the gas main because the gas lines were improperly marked prior to construction.

Princeton Fire and Princeton First Aid also responded to the incident.
