Kathie Foster Appointed Acting Superintendent Of Princeton Schools
Foster will be working in her new role through Aug. 31, 2024, the BOE said.

PRINCETON, NJ — Former Princeton High School interim principal Kathie Foster was appointed Acting Superintendent of the school district at a special meeting held on Monday evening.
Foster’s appointment comes after Superintendent Carol Kelley announced her resignation from the post in October.
Foster had filled in the space left empty after Principal Frank Chmiel was dismissed from the school district in March.

In New Jersey, all superintendent contacts have to end by June 30, and after that, the BOE will appoint her for the rest of the term, Kendal said.
The Board will pay Foster $1,100 per diem for services. The total contract cost is $171,400.
Foster was previously Superintendent of Robbinsville Public Schools, where she remained until her retirement in 2020. She began her career as an 8th grade math teacher, before serving as assistant principal principal, assistant superintendent and then superintendent.
She has a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania and Masters in Educational Leadership from Rider University and a Bachelors of Arts from Hope College.
