Library Book Sale Opens, Irish Studies Lecture, Classical Music Concert
What's going on around town.

The Friends of the Princeton Public Library Annual Used Book Sale. The sale will feature a large and varied selection of books on history, politics, literature, and art; a wonderful collection of children’s books; DVDs and CDs; and some exciting old and unusual books such as Isaac Newton’s “Observations Upon the Prophecies of Daniel, and the Apocalypse of John,” published in 1733. Preview sale is from 10 a.m. to noon $10, Regular sale begins at noon until 8:30 p.m. Hinds Plaza
The Fund for Irish Studies Presents a Lecture by Amy Martin, who will
lecture on “The Origins of Irish Internationalism: Violence and Terror in
Ireland, India and Jamaica, 1857-1870.″ James M. Stewart ’32 Theater, Lewis Center for the Arts, 4:30 p.m.
The Brentano String Quartet will perform a concert, featuring Beethoven, Quartet opus 18 #3; Mackey One Red Rose; Mendelssohn Quartet opus 44 #1. Princeton University, Richardson Auditorium, 7 p.m.
